If your gods are indeed still powerful then why you dey ask people these questions. Ask your gods why they let these all take place.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob never had a covenant with any other nations so your people are free to make any claims they like.

All other gods are fallen angels so they have what it takes to neutralize their potency when it comes to acting, back in those days it's your own people who were traitors that told the white man what to do so that those gods will abandon their worshipers and make them vulnerable to attack from Invaders.

For instance in my own village some 40 year ago something happened that i will like you to learn from.
My village in Ogun state is under the watch of 5 deities that are destructive but if you come into our village with bad motives they will not hurt you in the day when everyone can see you so if the villagers themselves allows you to steal or take anything while they're there the deities won't do anything.
But do not try that when everyone has gone to their farms!
Because if you do the deities will harm you no matter the type of weapons you come with!
During a civil war within Abeokuta soldiers sent to our village got to a point where palm trees were used to block the road, so they came down from their trucks and cross over the palm trees after crossing anyone that takes five steps forward must have come with great charms because they were falling like palm trees and dying instantly.
Only their commander got back to Abeokuta and he died after delivering the message that the village is a no go area.

So back to my story!
Some thieves came one night while everyone was asleep and they stole lots of domestic animals like sheep, goats and fowls successfully. Seven days later the chief called everyone to come and swear before the deities that they didn't neutralize the power of those deities each person did except one man who gave an excuse that he travelled and just returned so he can't be the one who silenced the gods but the chief and all the villagers insisted that everyone must swear before the deities. Ọmọ the man died five days later!

I just shortened the story because the next day the whole villagers woke up with boils all over their bodies, it was after the man's death that the boils vanished mysteriously.

So don't think African deities are powerless it's your own people that always neutralize their power when money is involved!
