will go see no worry!!
Even if there will be a protest/strike, it will likely happen only in the south east and maybe one or two other states in the north and south.

Life/business activities will go on in the south west and most of the other states in Nigeria.

Go and make your research about were protest happened under Buhari and Jonathan government.

Change begins with you and me. Do we have a good and genuine reason to embark on this strike? Why not? Strikes are the last resort/ option to make the government know that you are serious and resolute in your demands.
If you personally is satisfied with the way many things have gone wrong and still going wrong with Nigeria, then, please don't join the strike. Personally I'm almost ashamed to answer a Nigerian. To register my anger and frustration and disappointment, I support the strike.
For example look at the just concluded IMO State election. Somebody that came 4th in 2019 governorship election winning all the 27 LGA and getting more votes ( 500,000+) than Obi, Atiku and Kwakwanso combined during the presidential election. And we should leave it and move on.
When will enough be enough? It is now.
You feel that the way the NLC President was assaulted, humiliated and embarrassed is okay because he is omo Igbo. If he is Ronu or Arewa I can imagine what your reaction will be. One Nigeria indeed.

The foundation of the strike is faulty!
The right time to strike was when the subsidy was removed in a [i]hurry[/[i] without enough measures to cushion the effects.

And the floating of the dollar, which although is a good thing, the masses are not ready for it,.and most.dont understand it. Because what they understand are the price tags!
Well said. This NLC guy is a clown.

He doesn't represent the interest of workers. When everyone expected them to square up against the government after the removal of subsidy and during the fight for an increase in the minimum wage, they collected bribes and backtracked but now that the system dealt with him, he wants to drag the entire workforce into his personal battle.

Workers should see him for who he is.

True, but as NLC Oga, going for strike because supposed govt thugs gave U a resounding beating for Ur political shenanigans in ur home state should not lead to Nationwide strike. THATS BAD OPTICS, Makes NLC seem more like the govt they criticise & abusing thier power. Union is all about the welfare of d majority NOT PERSONAL VENDETTA.
Same line of thought, but I think Nigeria should be direct with their demand when it comes to protest; endsars metamorphosis into something I guess its the same tactics with one.

The signs are there already that this would likely change to something else.

A strike action is still a form of protest.

You are right bro

But there is need to put this distinction so that we don't mix it up

NLC/TUC categorically mentioned Nation wide strike action

Crazy people, strike ko,strike ni ! When subsidy was hurriedly removed without any palliative in place to cushion the expected painful effects of it,you idiotic NLC and TUC wereys did not deem it okay to go on strike then. Now that one partisan goat,Ajaero or something was thoroughly dealt with for his obvious acts of partisanship in political matters, the crazy NLC idiots now want the masses to embark on a strike ! You guys dey ment, walahi ! Nobody is even listening to you fools here, anyway.

[quote author=helinues post=126955852]Even though there are court orders suspending any form of protest from Labour union yet they insist on proceeding with it from Yesterday's midnight ( Mon 13th).

What's the situation in your area/state about the nationwide protest?

The first strike that seems effective to an extent.

I have light, done my financial transaction from bed, let me see what will happen later, for now coast is clear. Kids have gone to school.

This industrial action might fail, and it will destroy NLC and TUC, if they are not careful with their tactics, a breakaway faction might emerge and will be empowered by Government because they are loosing the support of the masses.
NLC and TUC lost the trust of Nigeria when they called off the strike of 13th October, 2023. I don't trust them anymore

If this strike will be the solution by force then I am in full supposed of it.... Enough is enough !
Solution to what exactly?? The motives behind the strike was as a result of the fracas the NLC president had with Imo State government. How does that warrant a National Strike??

We need to restart this nation anyhow, even if it involves shutting it down. If you don't earn by crook you will support a total overhaul of the country.
