In a recent turn of events, renowned Nigerian media personality, Dele Momodu, has found himself in the midst of controversy after posting a video on his Instagram account showcasing a power outage at the Lagos International Airport. The video, which captured the blackout situation, has sparked a wave of criticism from Nigerians who argue that Momodu's actions have portrayed a negative image of Nigeria to the global audience.

The incident unfolded when Momodu, a well-known figure in the Nigerian media landscape, took to social media to share a video highlighting a power outage at the Lagos International Airport. The footage depicted a dimly lit environment, with frustrated passengers navigating through the darkness amidst the outage. The video quickly gained traction on Instagram, leading to a flurry of reactions from the public.

Critics argue that Momodu's decision to share the video was irresponsible, as it could potentially harm Nigeria's reputation on the international stage. They contend that such negative portrayals can contribute to the perpetuation of stereotypes about the country, impacting its image and deterring potential investors and tourists.

Mr Dele Momodu erred.

A man of his status should not have posted that kind of video. He has some international reputation, this kind of video taints the image of the nation.
If he has written about it in one of his national journals, it is ok.

APC does worse than this as opposition anyway.

All he wants is the publicity, and it's been given.

After dragging Bob Dee, the management of the airport also deserves knocks on 'their heads'

What a national embarrassment.

At least he has done what Napoleon couldn't do by ensuring no compromise of information.

APC and their supporters are angry because Dele posted the true state of Nigeria for what it is.

Most places in Nigeria currently have never seen electricity for a week now, others haven't seen it for a month. yet others are screaming ebi pawa oooooo while their lord and saviour is chilling away his senses in France

He is right to air his opinion; however, he dines and wines with the corrupt politicians. He benefits from them in gifts and cash. He is a partaker of the corruption that is strangling Nigeria.

Nigerians be making it look like, it happened first in Nigeria!

When similar happened in JFK and Stansted Airport last year, it didn’t even make the headlines

"Portrayed a negative image to the global audience..."

As If foreigners do not come to Nigeria and witness these things.

Were they no foreigners at that airport?

What do they think they are hiding that the world does not know!

"Nigerians" did thesame during the time of Obasanjo and GEJ. So why should a different yardstick be used in the era of Tinubulation.

These are not Nigerians dragging Dele but the Tinubulators. They should also go to France Paris to drag out the father of Tinubulation to come fix what he clamed to develop in the Lagoon. What to see here are just the hypocrisy of mandate standers.

Know these and know peace.

Always trying to protect a country it's leaders do not care about. The image of a country that has been battered by it's leaders. If we do cared about this Nigeria, the corrupt leaders won't be stealing from it. How can Nigeria not able to boast of a 24 hour power after all these years and we keep lying to ourselves that we are making progress. The citizens keep protecting while the leaders keep stealing

Nigerians are indeed unbelievable and deserve all they get from their leaders.

Say what?

Do you mean to tell me that you'd rather hide your failing health condition from a physician/public because you care more about "what dent it'd bring on your reputation" instead of the help such full disclosure could elicit?

Does it mean that every single passenger at the airport when this show of shame happened were all Nigerians and none was a foreigner who would have shared the pictures and also talked about it?

What's wrong with us for goodness sake as a people?

Is this how we intend to dig ourselves out of the pit hole we've sunken into as a people by leading a lie?

I wonder why they haven't thought about attacking the publishers of the news report about the collapse of the national grid.

Make una continue to dey hide una sickness and be dying and grumbling in silence.

Come on...

Set awon ediots. Your president is chilling in a country where residents enjoy uninterrupted power, and you people are dragging "Uncle Dele na my boy" for embarrassing the contraption called Nigeria?

What is more embarrassing: (1) the criminal chilling in another man's country while your national grid collapsed or (2) a private citizen expressing his pains
