That was the penalty for sins before Jesus Christ was sent as mercy to the world to save people from their sins and this was demonstrated by Jesus pardoning the adulteress woman and asking her not to sin anymore but 600 years later, Muhammad under the influence of the demon that pinned him down in Hira cave (Sahih Bukhari 3) returned the world to the era of stoning to death while also lying that he was the one that came after Jesus, how could he make such claims and not continue in the teachings and deeds of Jesus?
