All na format.

20 hours daily (which might not be up to) cost N225 per kW, while 16 hours daily of same light from same company cost between N61-N64 per kW

So the 4 hours power supply daily on band A gave rise to that N164 difference for each kW of power consumed?

Las las for billing, dem go move everybody go dat band A. Light we no go still see. Na people wey no get prepaid meter go suffer pass

The earlier post gave the impression that Tinubu does not care about the masses giving us only the high band A tariff which is used by the rich. The common masses use types C and D and they are relatively cheap. Indeed to be an obidient is to be an unfortunate loser. They have 7 more years of propaganda to make. They have lost their objective common sense to Obis propaganda machines like success matters. Someone who did nothing substantial in Anambra. How many powers stations did he build for his 8years administration in Anambra ? Zero ! Now he is advising Tinubu half of what he did not do. Talk is cheap. An hypocrite. Losers !

Those of you carrying olosho 20k per 5 hour should not comment here

If you spend money every night at Mama Nkechi Isiewu and Big Stout joint, shut your mouth

Nigeria is not a charity organization, pay the right cost of electricity, and preserve energy by switching off appliances you aren't using. The era of leaving your bulbs on from morning to night is over.

If u no get prepaid meter this time PHCN go use u cash out. All this hungry house agent advertising apartments mentioning POP, Fenced round with gate, borehole and the likes better start adding prepaid meter as selling point. Cos no same person will pay outrageous rent yearly and be at the mercy of Nepa ppl estimated billing every month

I don't know about Europe but in North America, 25kv (277/480v or 347/600v) is more expensive than 14.4kv (110/120/240v).
However, replace elite citizen with industrial and commercial rate, then replace common man with residential rate.

All residential pay the the same rate depending on your city or state. City A may have a higher rate than City B. State X may have an higher rate than state Y. A true capitalist economy. Residential people in the same city pay the same rate.

It seems the Nigerian version which I don't understand is based on how long people have light for in a day which doesn't make much sense to me.

👍 This is the best comment I have read since this tariff increase.

Increasing tariff because they want to give 20hr supply is total rubbish. If the light is steady at every nook and cranny, they will still generate very high revenue at even N10 per Kw with very outrageous profits to sustain their business because there will be increased and steady consumption. They used blackouts to frustrate Nigerians to accept any increased policy they introduce in the name of increased supply.

Also, they are using a divide and rule system to reduce total outrage as result of the increment. Ninety percent of those areas classified as band A are occupied by very below average income earning Nigerians struggling to make ends meet.

If not for legalized crime, will MTN ask me to pay more than others because there network is more stable in my area?
If there is metering, charge everyone base on what they use, if I consume 1 KW, let me be charged for it irrespective of where I choose to stay, or is 1 KW in the city is different from 1KW in the village?

Tinubu wants all Nigerians stranded and frustrated.

I have to pay 200k or more for store and house electricity bill
I haven't even made upto a million since this year started, despite the serious hustle ,sleepless nights ,going to the markets as early as 4/5am.

I can't use prepaid meter at the store ,how many units go sustain 3 freezers for at least 10 hours per day ?,I run a frozen food store. How will inflation d when I'll add all expenses on the goods ?

It's tiring and frustrating!
I don tire!!!!!!!
