Have been waiting for someone to start this thread seriously!! I just got back to Lagos 2 weeks ago after about a year working in Bonny in Rivers and it has been hell!! Bis disappears totally, sometimes I cant make calls for about 4 hours in a day, and the funny thing is that a colleague of mine that lives in Unilag neighborhood says she has no complains what so ever, while another friend that stays at ikeja says she hasn't had MTN 3g nor bis for over a week. So what I want to know your Network,in which other areas are people are also being affected by this MTN madness and how bad is it.

Location: Tejuosho Road Surulere

MTN: extremely bad service, no Bis for most of the day.

AIRTEL: funny enough they have been steadily good

Same with here. I'm at Abuja and i must say that i'v been wasting money subscribing to mtn data plans. No network to browse and when u attempt to put a cal across to their customer care, u cant get through to them. I'm considering using glo here and breaking my mtn sim

Over here in kaduna most times, the bad network mostly makes me feel my phone has develop a fault cause I have to remove and put back the battery more than 10times in a day before I can get a 3G that wuld register and browse...considering AIRTEL I heard its perfect

I abandoned mtn and turned to etisalat for browsing and it has been running faster than husain bolt.

MTN is very good on my side here. I can stream video without any problem though abt 4days ago, my BIS was comn ON and OFF but only lasted for 4hrs naw it is back to normal. The problem now is that when i switch to EDGE, it is very slow but when on 3G it is very fast and 3G drain battery faster. Any remedy on how to make EDGE a bit fast? Thanks...

MTN is the worst network in Nigeria, in all ramifications, they are bad.

people should think of changing to etisalat bc i use both so i know well.

MTN has been terrible in Lagos. Had to switch to Airtel and I've bn enjoying BIS services like never before. Never knew it could be this good. Advice- Switch to Airtel fast!

Same here in owerri. The funniest part is d network wil allow u recharge ur phone but u can't make calls or check ur balance. I feel like breaking my mtn line. I now use etisalat for browsing and making calls.

I experienced the same with MTN last 2 months. Didn't need any match to relegate my MTN sim to Nokia C5 and promote my GLO. Haven't had any bad service on GLO since then.
Service is steady.

Funny thing is that my Nokia phone shows GPRS using MTN. Imagine, in this day and age. O_o

In kano here,MTN network is fairly okay.not much reason to complain

Kaduna: mtn browsing is 1000 times slower than pentium 1. Glo nd etisalat ar ok, don't knw about zain.

In ibadan, Ul, agbowo,Orogun,,mtn bb is nowhere to be found,they may be upgrading their BB network.

MTN has been fantastic here in lag.I use BBC for my curve4 and also connect with my playbook,men its own lovely.I stream,watch big brother and YouTube without much issues though sometime I get one or two network hiccup but all thesame MTN is the best best for me.I think we shld learn to trouble shoot with our bb devices when we experience issues.such as click on option,device,advanced sys settings,host routing table,bb sigh,and register now several time.It some times help to push down network.u cld also go to manage connections,mobile network,turn off and on data services.cheers

In Enugu forget about using MTN to browse. I have been in Enugu for six months and have never had a good browsing experience with MTN. I use two glo lines these days and dumped my MTN a long time ago. Glo is perfect in Enugu.

Forget eMpTyheN,I have been using it for several months now,though with BBM its ok but whenever I try to load a browser page,most times it remains on loading forever until I do a hard restart,I was almost thinking my fone is faulty until I tried airtlel this month with the 2months get one free & believe u me,surfing the net has been fantastic,my pages load instantly even plus including my BBM.eMpTyheN na edibanze buo buo .lol
