I have said it time and time again.
The biggest problem of our country is with the youths, males and females alike.

Look at them!

Every person commenting on this thread is equally playing politics with the dead.

Even though Mr Adesina has clearly explained himself these fools are falling over themselves to make cheap political statements.

Why this cheap hypocrisy from this PDP?

What is the meaning of flags at half mast?

What is the meaning of always playing politics with deaths when they didn't fare better when they were in power?

PDP should let other parties or pressure groups talk and let them continue to bury their heads in shame forever.

Well they know how gullible and fickle Nigerian youths are so they can feel free to continue pulling the dumbness cards of these Nigerians on nairaland.

Question:

In 16 years of power when did the PDP ever fly flags at half mast despite the death of over 20,000 Nigerians.

If you cannot answer this question then whatever politics you are playing with dead Nigerians will visit your own very family.
you are so so ignorant of your comment, during pdp government there are half mast sign of mourning the heinous killings victim. so so worse in buhari government. it shows that buhari government is on shedding innocent blood mission. we will all resist Apc party in both ekiti and Osun state. you will see the outcome of the election. Apc are bunch of blood suckers, buhari is a murderer. he will surely be charged with genocide cases.

somehow:

What on earth is wrong with you people? He was replying PDP playing dirty politics with the death of people yet this is what you could come up with just to gather likes from people who have short memories and alien to deep thinking?

Are these evidence false? Did people like you make hell of a noise when all these deaths occured or you mean those who died then are less human than the current ones?

Let us stop being stupid so that God will forgive us all and heal our land. The more insensitive statements we make just to taunt the govt some don't like, the more God fold his hands and watch more die.

Lets be sincere and actually cry sincerely to God so he can hear us. The prayers of the wicked God will not hear says the holy book.

Meaning if truly we are praying and God hasnt heard, that means we are wicked and praying wicked and hypocritical prayers.

God can't be mocked. You might have posted what you posted to garner likes but God will reward you proportionally according to your intent.

Get out of here . Are you God to know the intent of my post. I hate this govt because of the deaths .do u know life is sacred at all? The singular reason I hated Jonathan govt was uncontrolled corruption. Gather what likes ? Do I eat the likes? Does the likes send money to my account. Can't I air my views again in peace again ? Why all these deaths ?? It hurts me seriously

THE Presidency has accused the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of shedding crocodile tears by declaring a mourning period for people killed in Plateau state, saying that even though more people were killed under the former ruling party, it never declared a mourning period.

A statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Thursday, gave a list of killings under PDP which it said the party never mourned.

The statement said that it was sad and unfortunate killings in Plateau state over the weekend have been turned to an opportunity to once again play irresponsible politics, particularly by the PDP.

The PDP had on Wednesday declared seven days of mourning during which it said flags in its office will fly at half mast.

The presidency stated: “These are dolorous times that call for deep introspection on how cheap human lives have become, and the proffering of actionable ideas on how to get out of the bind. But the PDP would rather dance on the graves of the dead, playing cheap, infantile politics.

“The comatose and prostrate party is declaring seven days of mourning, during which flags in its offices would be flown at half-mast nationwide. But unknown to the party, those flags had been forcefully lowered since its 2015 loss at the polls and may remain so for a long time to come, because Nigerians are politically discerning, and cannot be hoodwinked by cheap antics.

“A quick checklist of some savage and brutal killings in Nigeria during PDP rule, between 1999 and 2015, for which no national mourning was declared:

“November 20, 1999. Odi, in Bayelsa State, was invaded on orders of a PDP President. About 2,500 people killed. No national mourning.

“Between February and May 2000, about 5,000 people were killed during riots over Sharia law in different parts of the North. No national mourning.

“In 2001, hundreds of people, including the old, infirm, women and children were killed in Zaki Biam. No crocodile tears.

“Between September 7-12, 2001, Jos, Plateau State, erupted in internecine killings. Between 500 and 1,000 people were killed. Flags were not flown at half mast.

“In February 2004, at least 975 people were killed in Yelwa-Shendam, Plateau State. No mourning by the then ruling PDP.

“Between November 28 and 29, 2008, Jos was in flames again, with 381 deaths. No mourning.

“In 2010, 992 people killed in Jos. Mum was the word.

“In 2014 alone, according to Global Terrorism Index, at least 1,229 people were killed in the Middle Belt. No mourning.

“Boko Haram killings in PDP years were over 10,000. PDP flags were still fluttering proudly in the sky.

“Those who take pleasure in twisting statements from the Presidency may claim we are saying that many more people were killed under PDP than under President Muhammadu Buhari. It would be unconscionable to do so. The intendment of this statement is to show that wanton killings had been with us for awhile; this government is working towards enduring solutions; and should be given the opportunity to do so.

“Even a single soul is precious, and no man should take a life, which he cannot create. But when tragic situations as had happened in Plateau State occur, such should never be used to play crude politics. Those who are wont to do so should have change of hearts, or lose their very humanity.”

I have never seen a more useless government than this government. They keep blaming the past and others for their problem instead of proferring a solution.

The Buhari government needs to cover it face in shame, it has not only failed in securing lives of the citizenry, it is playing politics with the dead. I repeat ALL politicians are complicit in these killings, they are behind it, they are sponsoring it.

If you had a modicum of common sense you would pause and carefully analyse the entire scenario and not be bigoted.

The presidential elections are fast approaching and then suddenly we are having all manner of killings everywhere. Something that wasn't so 2 years ago is suddenly now a daily occurrence.

Some persons are stirring the waters of hatred behind the scenes and watching people like you reacting in ignorance to it while further giving them the results they want as they muddy the waters of Nigeria with their songs of ethnic Intolerance.

Sir please!

Even if FEmi or PMB must make comparison; this is not the right time to make such declarations.

Secondly, people are behind this? So ''catch'' the people doing this. Catch them and deal with them.

Let me ask you a question....in your mind what solution do you think Government should deploy to stop these killings? Just name one!
