Good for them. The bitter pills those Indians give to Nigerian workers is what they don't want to swallow. If you have worked with Indians, Chinese and Lebanese you will know what kind of humans these people are. Let them work for their money or go back to India, simple as ABC.

Power Mech is actually an Indian company.

So this is Indians doing Indians.

I believe that's why they called on the Indian Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi.

I remember when I was looking for job as a young engineering graduate in an Indian company.

I tendered my statement of result, my HSE certifications from the approved govt agency and other relevant documents.

This Indian man first rubbished my HSE certificate, then started with my statement of result with first class honours.

The idiot claimed he has no way of verifying If it was real or not, that I should travel and get my original certificate.

I told him it was not possible for now since it was not yet available, and Statements of results are as valid as certificates.

The foolish Indian told me to wait till the original certificate is ready before he will answer me.

I told my dad, he wanted to speak to him on phone and blast him.

Too many people talking with Ignorance in the age of instant communication and social media..... Refineries in Europe and North america
are still running and workesr are going to work, i called my nigerian friends at scotland that are working at refineries and they all
had to go to work both Nigerian, Scottish, and all other workers of all nationalities as they are essential services..so these indian workers need to stop this non-sense.

Nigerians are working at Warri, Kaduna and Port-harcourt refineries with the Foreign workers during this time as they are also essential service. so let stop all this BS Talk...

Wow! Tables turned for once! cheesy

Hopefully this helps every elite or racist nation to see that everyone can be inhuman if they choose! It has nothing to do with how superior your race is.

Most Chinese and Indian expatriates and companies are notorious for worst human rights violations even in host African countries where they do business.

But on this issue, isn’t a refinery an essential services industry just like the filling stations? Do these folks know that other companies are downsizing due to economic inactivity?

As long as they can take all reasonable safety precautions, stopping work makes no sense at all. It will only translate to ballooning project costs!

So except they demonstrate that they are being exposed to covid-19 at the work place, they have no case!

Power Mech Staff Complain Of Being Forced To Work Despite Lockdown

Staff of Power Mech company working on the Dangote Refinery have complained to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Damodardas Modi of the actions of their employers. They claim that they are being made to work through the Coronavirus pandemic and even threatened with violence.

The workers in a video with their leader speaking said every other company is observing the lockdown as announced by the Federal Government of Nigeria but Power Mech has refused to obey the directive and the workers are being driven out of their rooms in what they described as slavery. They also say only Power Mech is forcing staff to work as other companies have asked their workers to stay away.

Table has not turned, those Powertech Staff are working in a Industry which is "Essential Services" i.e Hospitals, Logistics, Transport, Telecommunication, Power-Energy, Security-Defense, Police, National Guard, Ports (Land-Air-Sea), they all have to work regardless of the
crises, its happening to all essential services in all countries lockdown does not mean the entire System in a nation shutdown...

What most nigerians are complaining and what this lockdown is exposing is that most of the Engineering and technical jobs at Dangote Refinery
was outsourced to Asians by the Group Executive Director of Dangote Refinery an Indian Devakumar V. G. who has given millions of dollars of
contracts to his Indian Business Friends to develop and build Dangote Refinery, mean while capable Nigerian Graduates who supposed to work at
the refinery are sitting at home unemployed while these indians are complaining while they are getting paid in Dollars "smh"...

Ison Bpo is also owned by an Indian and is based in kwara, abeokuta and ibadan with over 1000 staff at each branch yet despite the lockdown they are still going to work and working shift. Call mtn or airtel call center and see if it won't be picked. In fact read about isonbpo you would know that is hell in Nigeria.

They are likely brought by an Indian contractor. Its got nothing to do with Dangote; most of these foreign experte are not directly hired by the Nigerian companies they work for, so they should complain to the Indian embassy not make noise to the general public, damaging the image of Nigeria!

If not for government ineptitude and lackadaisical management of its people should these punks even be working here, all they'll do is to come and train people and leave, better yet get expertrates from smarter countries not these moochers who steal ideas and then be forming smart to Africans. They come here, bribe their way through any rights left of nigerian citizens and it most definitely works coz they're already in contract with govt itself, as long as they keep paying their 'tithes'(egunje) they have immunity and control over the rights of poor nigerian citizen... This is just particular to this dumb ogunstate govt, they just don't give a shit about anything angry "je kon ko owo wa" is their motto... And lest I forget the indigenes themselves are just hereditary cowards.

Indians are generally very bad when it comes to treating other human beings well.

That's just how they are.

In the Arabian gulf it is they who send their own people there to be treated like chattel.
