NL is the only verified source of info that people outside Nigeria relate and know what is happening here.. I have met people from around the world, business contacts, learn skills, made tough decisions and also becoming a better person.. I dont think we value this space as we shd. though some people still play away their time here by been a tribalist, religious fanatics etc but if they know they are sitting on a gold mine. they will change their attitude.
Over here, real time and life experiences will be given at your own space and time..
I can't forget the advantages that this space had given me for the past 6 years..
Thanks to Seun Osewa...

I came across Nairaland too late, that was after my undergraduate and NYSC days, it really pained me a lot. Had it been that I have come across the forum earlier, maybe before my undergraduate program commenced or at early stage of my undergraduate program, I would have got some senses that would have made me to make some tough decisions that would have better my life more most especially in the financial aspect. I have learnt so many things on Nairaland. Caught fun and still doing that, some people's testimonies and changed my orientation and views about life here.

Whenever I see some people's post that they have joined Nairaland for 11 years, I feel jealous of them, lol.

You can still join earlier and never pay attention .... That's what happened to me .... Youthful Exuberance ..... it's never too late to pick up and Boom !

I later got to know that it was Nairaland that a particular small guy was using when I got to know about Nairaland.

I was in 500 level then and the guy was in 100 level, we most of the times coincidentally found ourselves reading in the same hall and also seating together during night reading, after the guy had read and feel like relaxing I always saw him closely to his phone.

I kept wondering when I peeped from my side to see all the screen occupied with text and this Nairaland background colour, "what's he doing with all this text" was the question I was asking myself ceaselessly, he would once in a while scroll up and laughed.

I knew he wasn't reading e-book and the interphase did not look like the convectional social media with pictures. I keep wondering because I've been seen him severely doing that.

It was last year it popped up in my mind that Nairaland happens to be what this guy was using, if he maximized the good part of the forum, I'm sure he would have gained many things from the forum that will be of great advantage to him academically, socially, intellectually, etcetera.

That's the problem ... Our maturity period in life differs ... I spent many years in Politics section arguing over what can never change ... If I utilised all the information I wasn't interested upon then, I would have travelled to atleast Canada or be doing fine in Dubai today ... grin ...

It's called youthful Exuberance... alot of teens and early 20s are still doing same presently ... I hardly visit politics section now grin ... I even changed moniker thrice just to put those phase behind grin
