Praying in Tongues is not a power gift. Thes below are examples of Power gifts. They are called power gifts not because of anything but because they are undenyable gifts when in operation (they change things directly in the Physical realm)

Jesus didn't do any miracles with tongues
The disciples didn't perform any miracle with tongues
The all preached, healed, delivered and ministered in understanding.

I am saying concentrate on the other things rather than praying in tongues as praying in tongues is not useful for PUBLIC exhortation.

Your problem is not knowing the DIFFERENCE between the GIFT of tongues (which is useful for public exhortation) and the operation in tongues (praying in tongues) for personal edification. Until you know the difference will you have a breakthrough in ministry.

I am saying without mincing words that most christians who specialize in praying in tongues are empty barrels that make loud noise in terms of their Public Ministry!
