Obasanjo basically came into power and empowered some of his friends, adenuga, otedola and the likes, very terrible. The man adenuga became rich overnight

You can see his golden tower in VI, very arrogant building just to spite the poor,

Very oppressive building

and nigeria cannot feed itself

a baby nation that wants satellites but cannot power itself, I love you tho

this is coming from a honest yoruba man

You cannot be considered being rich overnight if you had an oil company and a bank since more than fifteen years ago.
He was rich before the second coming of Obasanjo.

He was not a billionaire then, maybe in naira but not in dollars.

Nobody dey carry money go heaven o.Max max 100yrs den go leave everything go.I only need enough money to live a 'NORMAL' life and help others with the excess. The life people are living in naija is totally abnormal viz:abnormal schools, roads, elect.power supply, houses, security, jobs, food and even feeding habits(001,100,010)etc.A normal human being should eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.Imagine my folks complaining I eat and sleep too much when I try to eat breakfast and sleep for just 8hrs Brosie! Happy birthday to you.Brosie! Happy birthday to you.'pere'.Haba!

I really don't understand the cynical comments some Nigerians make. How can someone say Adenuga and Dangote aren't beneficial to Nigerians. Take out their businesses and see how unemployment would increase. From the guy selling recharge cards and the woman selling foodstuffs to the top management M.D.

Hmmm, All I know is that in Nigeria (and in other countries), it is not easy to just put an accurate valuatiion on someones property
because these dudes have too many businesses they are into both those that are publicly known n those that are coded, some even illegit.
And i know that Dangote is may not be  the richest, The richest may not even be on the Forbes list, undecided
Re: Mike Adenuga Might Be Africa’s Richest Man - Forbes by redsun(m): 7:43pm On Jul 16, 2011
The essence of wealth is creation, reaching out and establishing for the good of all,not stealing the people's wealth, directly and indirectly, conniving with dubious nigerian politicians and reaping what they did not sow.Dem otedola, dem danjuma, igbinedion and co,capitalizing on the masses ignorance and the criminality of leadership to reap the children off.

There is hardly any rich african.

Adenuga is not even the owner of glo, which is usually touted as his biggest asset. So where then is the basis for the comparison?

Dangyboy is lightyears ahead of him

In Nigeria, we have but only few businessmen and many a looter. We should try to separate the sheep from the goat. Those pple(Dangote, Adenuga etc) aren't businessmen, they are political looters with business inclination.
Re: Mike Adenuga Might Be Africa’s Richest Man - Forbes by AjanleKoko: 9:44pm On Jul 16, 2011
Businessmen with no record of achievement. Overnight tycoons.

Dotman01:

Thank u for bringing Glo to tackle Mtn. . . God bless Adenuga

See people gushing with praise.
So 13bn a month is tackling 60bn a month? Tackle away undecided

Congrats to them! Hope thier success will ginger upcoming Nigerians that there is reward in hardwork and that they can unleash thier potentials in Nigeria and the world will see thier stars from the east and come tracing like the maggi in the bible.

If only the looters of national treasury invest much of thier loot in building factory, promoting local manufacturing, and next-gen services in nigeria, unemployment, crime and insecurity would be very minimal in the society.

Its not about how much money they make, its all about how much they give back to the community from which they make the money.

No boubt about that. But lol at 'Dangyboy'. . .na ya mate? Lol.

Sai Seriki! Comparing Seriki and Adenuga isn't appropriate at all. There is a bit of Dangote in all of us; but not all of us use Glo lines or bank with Etb. Mark my word: if you live in Nigeria, then there is a 99% chance that there is a bit of Dangote Sugar in your bloodstream. . .never mind that you CERTAINLY must have stepped into (or live in) a building made of Dangote Cement. The Ubiquity of the Dangote brand would never be on the same level with Adenuga's. Comparing Dangote with Adenuga (who we're not sure whether he's a front for IBB or not) is like comparing sleep with death. No basis for comparison.

It is ironical that a country with energy poverty like , that cannot provide regular electricity, will be boasting of billionaires. Very few of them made it without bogus govt contracts or looted treasury money, thereby contributing to the energy poverty. They do not bother because they create their own power sources.

When will a big businessman get contract to light up Nigeria?

He is stupendously wealthy yet humble

@Gbenga 77, please take that back, You really don't know mike,

Mike that staff cannot get in the same lift with him even when going to the same floor.

My cousin lost her job on the 1st day cos she got in the same lift with Mike,

Mike went, as soon as he got into his office, who was thatgirl in the lift a few minutes ago, I want her sacked,

That's it,

U don't know Mike,  I have had 2 deal with him business wise with him loads of times and he his irritating to say the least,

Not lousy Ego, but internal Ego that rules like a Dictator in all his Businesses except the bank where he does not have controlling say anymore

Thanks for Sanusi who saved his face 4 him, yet to recapitalise the bank with the amount he promised and this is going 2 years now

Tschewwwwwww

Just look @ Paddy Adenuga as he carries himself around lately thats Mike in a manner,

Staying in the office till late don't make you a good man or hardworkingv or knowing when the company employs a clerk dont make you either

To pay after delivery of project na wahala 4 Mike, yet his 419 Indians rule like they are in Punjabi over the whole GLO
