I've not heard anything humble about Adenuga or his son. He slaps his staffs like a lawn tennis racket hitting a ball. I hope he changes.

I find it rather baffling for people to ascribe any type of wealth they are unable to comprehend that is owned by an individual Nigerian to a former "powerful" government official. Once my business strikes gold and comes larger than life, it means I must be fronting for someone who has no clue about how I get on with ensuring the success of my business.

Abeg, go rest and stop spouting untruths saying Adenuga owes IBB & Atiku cos he's fronting for them - where were they when he was building up Consolidated Oil & struck his first well on Dec 25, 1990? Abeg, if you cannot put facts behind your tall tales, go find somewhere rest and expire - Nigeria don't need faceless people like you - we need more Adenugas who have the guts to make things happen and multiply their God given talent.

A typical example of the slogan "action speaks louder than just noise".
Mike has been the richest in Africa for more than 10 years now. He absolutely does it his own way.

Visit: mikeadenugafoundation.org

Folks, watch out and Man-U fan look out, Mike is about to make it happen once again.

Emulate, don't hate.

@tricici: yes, one of my staffs got fired last week simply because she entered my office smelling like a combo of orange and pepper soup.

FYI: Your staffs are the identity of your organization, and the identity of your organization belongs to you, therefore, it is up to you to make adjustment when it is necessary regardless of whose cousin is on the way.

It is that simple.

LOL @ orange and peppersoup! But seriously, when you begin to fire somebody (a fellow human being like you) for sharing the elevator with you (a mere mortal), what would you do if you were God?!?

Have you read Mike Adenuga's own account? He says he was selling car stereos and lace early in his career, and through that became friends with a number of high ranking military officers. He got a banking license, and oil concession in the late 80s, a period where there was no liberalization in the oil sector, and that doesn't raise any eyebrows? Okay oh.

In any case, there are lots of rich Nigerian entrepreneurs who started business from the ground up, with no government patronage. You have the likes of Big Chi, the lady who sits atop the Chi empire, the Tantalizers and TFC Owners, as well as Kessington Adebutu (Baba Ijebu). What about Doyin Industries (Sam Adedoyin), the owner of ABC transport, Elizade, and Germaine Auto Center? These are people that made money selling services to the masses, and they still do so till today. They didn't just mysteriously appear as bank and oil company owners. That must be why they are not as rich as Mike, and they don't demand to be addressed as 'Aga' (chair).

Mike Adenuga is rich, no doubt. But, a role model? Leave story. We don't need to workship every rich man around just because they have money. That's why we can't even elect a local government chairman successfully, we pay so much homage to money in this country, we have no spine at all.

@staaari. trust me that was all to it, she's not the 1st or be the last to go that way, ask any of Mikes staff. the poor girl even said good morning sir and knelt the 9ija way in the lift and Mike ignored, but she notices he was already fuming and puffing by the time they were getting off the elevator. Her immediate boss even suggested to Mike that, sir she was ignorant lets transfer her to another branch.

Mike said to the man who has worked for him for over 10 years, Are you OK, are you talking to me, I said SACK her, end of story

GLO is not all Mikes, go and ask BNP Paribas in France they will tell you, all Rich Men have 2 borrow,

if he was that Rich why did Sanusi bn take over his Bank as bn distressed , that he was using a collateral 4 most of his businesses. Tscheewww

Mike loves Sunny Ade, a bit of Obey and HighLife in general.
Mike works out every day and watches what goes into his mouth.
Mike loves to have private dinner with his friends and family at least once in 2 months.
Mike has 2 Magnificent private jets, which he uses very often.
Mike has gigantic Mansions all over the world, but still lives @ his old house in VI.
Mike loves his children more than anything else and has done very well giving them the best of the best.
Mike is very shy, tough, kind, crazy, unpredictable and loves to control everything.

Mike is a very successful Nigerian simply because of discipline he inherited from his father, Mike Sr., business experience from his mum, his unique work ethic and blessing from God.

So, why not just be proud and embrace one of your brothers?
Re: Mike Adenuga Might Be Africa’s Richest Man - Forbes by zomby(m): 4:55pm On Jul 18, 2011
For the record, GLO belongs to Mike 100%, Conoil 75%, worldspan 100%, ETB also 100%.
No outstanding loans,or any partners.

ETB was taken away from him for exactly 3 days.
It took that long for CBN/Sanusi to realize the economy downfall that was about to take place if the bank wasn't returned right away.

98% of almost 500 ETB buildings belongs to Mike, over 2000 ETB official cars belong to this man and 90% of the dough in ETB's acct also belongs to him.

First, they can never be successful taking the bank away from Mike.
Second, if they're successful how do they plan to operate when every single machinery, building and so on belong to mike?.
And then finally, if they're successful taking the bank, who exactly are they going to hurt? Definitely, isn't going to be Mike Adenuga.

Yes, as a security guard at the age of 20 and taxi driver at the age of 22. You can put it down if you see these student part time quick money makers as jobs.

Mike is not from Delta, let us try Sokoto.

If you care to know Mike's background go and grab a new book written by his cousin, the Awujale of Ijebu land.

Mike just did not drop from the sky, he was the youngest, but the biggest among all his friends before some of us were born.

Mike is my man, he gave without checking; a staff of ETB that is closed to me said, they hit side by side along staircase in one of the branch in lagos and he asked have you not eating, are you a staff of ETB,he said, yes and he dept his hand into his pocket and gave him what he brought out without checking and after him (friend) checked and counted it, he was amazed to findout that it was N10k, what a cheerful giver.

honestly, i'm not surprised by some of the things some people are posting here. Nigeria is a society where people are not always happy for one another. all what I have read about mike on this site mostly says who he is, how he's making it happen, what he has and few other things about his background. i see no butt licking anywhere or any out of place praising going on here. some people can not understand why they can't make it in life. fyi hating others for their various accomplishments usually delays progress in one's life. all I have to say is i'm happy to have a phone service that is not controlled by just indians or lebanese and i'm also happy to buy my petrol from a gas station that is controlled by a nigerian.
if we don't have people like mike who are willing to invest their money in an unstable country like nigeria, politicians would have sold the entire country to chinese.i'm proud to be a nigerian and very proud of any nigerian that gives the country an outstanding name around the world. Mike is known all over Africa and a very good part of the world as a serious and smart businessman. may be we should all be asking ourselves what do we have to offer our country and stop wasting time hating a man that has made his country proud.

@ zomby,,,why did u have to go so so so so so so so so low and show your level of upbringing to mention my fathers name in this issue.

Where in here did this thread warrant that, no one is begrugging Mike 4 any reason, the argument was that his level of wealth is not as reported,

was there any need to add my father to it.

I'm really ashamed with the level of mannerism you have displayed over a simple thread like this.

People like you are a disgrace to the society if I may add. what a mannerless Person you truly are,

You dont know who I am and I see no reason for my dad to be added to this thread. Please Please Please, shocked angry embarassed

Please dont put fingers into my throat, I am a well brought up and respectable person but every human being has a break point

Just because you have a laptop,or key board and mouse dont mean you should display the manners of a tout on-line.

You can go own sticking your tongue in Mikes bum as long as you like,

@ideylaff: I'm so sorry, I honestly did not know that you're this sensitive.
You climbed over your computer posting rubbish and disrespecting Mike Adenuga and his magnificent accomplishments, but you also forgot to remember that Mike is also someone's father. This was why I had no other choice, but to send your straight to your father.
And I see no big deal in asking your father where he was or what he was doing when Mike was busy making all this big money.
Just for the record, I have no reason to lick @@s, I only embrace great Nigerians that deserve respect. Mike Adenuga represents one of the greatest Nigerians around today. if you do not agree, just send me your father's profile, let's see what you're working with.
Re: Mike Adenuga Might Be Africa’s Richest Man - Forbes by ideylaff: 10:19pm On Jul 19, 2011
@ zomby, based on your assumptions, you only know Mike from afar,

also I did not diss Mike, the thread was about his status, you said your bit and I said my own bit,

I have dealt with Mike business wise now for over 10 to 12 years now, so when I speak I'm talking 4rm personal experience.

Back to the Father Issue, apology accepted, but still disappointed you had to go that low. Please leave my dad out of this.

As far as my life is concerned, money is not the be and all to me in my life. It is also not the Key to happiness as much as self satisfaction is.

As long as Mike is not your dad, no need for us to go down this route. Please , Im begging you in The name of our LORD.

NL is a forum for us to discuss, agree to disagree and still be able to interact with each other with no use of foul language or bad mannerism.

That's my take on the issue,

OK I'd take your own opinion on board. Mike owns most of his businesses, if not outright sole ownership.

Lastly I was not the only one who had a opinion on Mike, so why pick on me and goo so low as well.

So many people posted on here their experiences with Mike as a person and as a business man
