The customer care told me he has 80% of the money in his account that with my consent, they'll unfreeze it and pay me or I can wait till it's complete and take all... they were certain because it's a salary account... money must enter.

Though the guy pleaded with me to be paying 20k monthly buy omooorr I don't think I'll have such patience. The bank told him to be paying the 20k into his account till it completes.

so the ball is now in my court

Most Nigerian banks will never unfreeze an account that has money in it unless you make big trouble with them. Simply close the account after they unfreeze it.

But always make sure to resolve any financial issues you have with your pstners amicably.

I am in the same situation got a court Order and everything submitted to GT bank they waited or even warned their customer to come get his money then, have their lawyer send me a counter affidavit with a cropped account statement saying their is only N159 in the account I don't have the resources I would have sued Gtbank. I have sending complaint to CBN never got a reply this country is very heart breaking when you are scammed just know that you are on you own.

I worked in travel and retail the first thing I do before I receive money is issue invoice. Then on invoice send out the paid invoice. Then use the money for whatever the client wants. You don’t wait even 24 hours immediately place orders or get their items send it then send shipping confirmation. For travel send your ticket. That way whatever is left is your money. Separate accounts for your money and your business spending also helps.

End of story peace of mind. Never had to issue a refund. GTB froze my account once when I was sleeping in my car trying to get it repaired for 2 days I never forgot those who stood by me and those who made it difficult it helps you move forward with love.

Go to the branch explain your situation but if you held on to money for another purpose it’s another story.

You brought a court order and the bank asked you to pay them 10% of the amount? I don't understand.

Better collect your 80% in his account and wait for his salary to drop before collecting the remaining 20%.

Reason is that criminals like him don't usually last in their place of work. He could be sacked for the same reason his account was blocked and you'd be stranded cos he would just abandon the account.

So collect what he has now and wait for his next salary and collect the remaining balance.

Lucky you. Zenith and wema bank chop my own way back. One scammer for wema Bank 20k and Zenith 100k. I submit court order wey I spend 9k total to my bank (Access) and the scammer banks nothing came out, till today
