You should try take road trips to Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. I don't think San Antonio is the most beautiful sha, Infact I dnt even like there, like that.
BunmiBie:

Lubbock but thinking of moving to Houston or San Antonio. I heard the San Antonio is the most beautiful in Texas. Is that true?
It is funny, I have not been to any other county in US aside Lubbock.

Please I got admitted for fall 2023 for my masters degree... I got an interview date for March 10 can I go for the interview ,or can I reschedule, I’m thinking it out of the 120 window days

Two things are likely to happen, you might be turned back to reschedule and book a date with the 120days frame or you might be interviewed and if successful, your passport will be given back to you and your application will be on pending and will be asked to send your passport through a courier to the embassy when its within the 120days frame for your visa stamp(happened to a close friend). Goodluck

No longer applicable. Anyone can now go for visa interview a year before resumption (for F1 Visa) but they won't be allowed into the US until a month before resumption. Find attached

USA is completely a different place. Clean roads, mad road network, Even the shedding of colorful leaves on the 'inroads' from the tree flanking those roads beautifies those roads. I never knew USA is this interesting! Even if you don't have eyes for beauty, once you landed at the airport, the Immigration would hand you a pair of such eyes!
I will love to travel to US someday.

What interests you in Texas? Indeed I have a job offer there, but I am reluctant to go to any open carry state.

From my findings, I learnt life there is not expensive, enough job opportunity, less income tax and friendly weather.

There is a USA Visa thread that you’ll find help in. This thread addresses questions for those already in this country.

Hi all,.
Please Do we still have US immigration thread?

I can’t find it and needed to follow it.

Please help if you have it.

Also I wanted to ask how long is police certificate valid? My mom had hers in September and I just read it’s only eligible for 3 months but I’m NVC website, they said police certificate is valid for 2 years.

Please what do you advise? She’s processing for immigration visa. Thank you

NYC is one of the most expensive places to live in this country. Even people with no dependents earning over $100,000 per year tend to struggle.

Yes it's too expensive but with lots of opportunities. Don't see myself leaving NY anytime soon. Live within ur means and don't spend unnecessarily. You in NY?

Both of those are good choices but filling up fast. Those from New Yorker and some from New Jersey are moving south to Florida due to weather and cheaper cost of living while Californians and Chicagoans are moving east to Texas for the same reason and that’s slowly driving up costs. Both would be good choices though.
I don’t know your job industry or if you only like major cities but I’ll suggest a few Southern cities with fairly cheap but good quality cost of living, good housing cost, good schools, things to do and enjoy, a Nigerian population, and good job markets. Research Birmingham and Huntsville in Alabama, Nashville and Murfreesboro in Tennessee (Murfreesboro is diverse and very nice), Lafayette in Louisiana, Baytown in Texas, the last two have opportunities in oil/gas, technology, etc. Birmingham and Huntsville are great if you’re in engineering.
