Hey job hunters. I have noticed something...

You know when you see an ad on LinkedIn and it says 200+ people have applied for it and you kind of get imposter syndrome about if it's even worth applying, if you're good enough, would you compare to the other candidates...

Well I put up a role to test this out and according to LinkedIn. I recieved 150+ applicants. When in theory, I didn't. I got 40.

So I asked around my recruiter friends to see if they noticed this and the result was. It's the amount of people who have clicked on the ad and clicked through to see the job advertisement. Not applying.

So don't be turned off by seeing the amount of "Applicants". It's not exactly what it says it is.

Keep going. You'll find your dream role!

Negotiations can be tricky and making mistakes can be costly. Negotiating your salary can be a daunting task, but it's essential to ensure that you're being fairly compensated for your work.

Here are negotiation mistakes that you should avoid at all costs👇

Ensure you make your research on Industry standards and the company's salary structure. This will help you in closing a favourable deal.

Turning down a job offer after going through the interview channels can be a bit unpleasant.

However, as a professional you should know your value and be ready to defend it. To me it's better to muster courage and turn down a job offer that doesn't serve your interest than to take it only to regret in few days.

This year I have already rejected two job offers. One because the salary was lower than expectations and the other because I heard I was going to be the 3rd accountant under 1 year to occupy the seat. That doesn't sit right in terms of the culture of the company. I must admit the money was good though.

In all, how you curve the communication to turn down the offer is key. Find below how I did it.

Hr coordinator needed in an IT firm in Lekki (hybrid mode of work)

- Help with onboarding and off boarding
- Create policies and implement
- handle employees welfare
- Drive capability and accountability of good people practices through line management

- Monitor, measure and evaluate key people metrics, providing insight to inform the people agenda

- Providing first line recruitment support across the group, administering and monitoring vacancies on the applicant tracking system, working closely with the HR & Recruitment Business Partner

Requirements:

- Minimum of 4 years experience in HR
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office application
• Good time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
• Should have an eye for detail
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
