The Kikuyus are considered the indigenous people of the area around Mount Kenya, and they have a long history of interaction with the colonizing British in Kenya.



Christians indeed forced Christianity upon the Kikuyu people during the colonial period.

During the period of British colonization in Kenya, Christian missionaries and settlers imposed their faith and culture on the indigenous people, such as the Kikuyu.
