Yes, this is true. King Louis XVI of France was a strong ally of the United States during the American Revolutionary War, and he provided both financial and military support to the rebellious colonists in their fight for independence. The King's financial support was especially crucial in the early years of the war, as the fledgling American government was short on funds and could not afford to pay for weapons, ammunition, and provisions for its soldiers.

Louis XVI's support for the American cause was not well-received by the French people, however, who considered it a waste of money at a time when France was experiencing its own financial problems. The King eventually became a target of the French Revolution, which led to his execution in 1793. George Washington, meanwhile, became the first president of the United States in 1789, and he remained in office until 1797.

The Hebrew law of "deuteros" (Deuteronomy) states that Israelites should not marry women from the nations around them, particularly women who practice idolatry or follow other religions. The passage specifically says:

"You shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughter to his son, and you shall not take his daughter for your son. Little is known about Jeanne’s early years because female children, even those of royals and nobles, were not considered noteworthy until they became of an age to marry and bear children. It is likely that Jeanne was raised in the care of her mother’s friend Aymée de Lafayette, who lived on the outskirts of Alençon at the estate Lonray. It is known for sure that Aymée was Jeanne’s governess after 1532, but Jeanne is not even mentioned in her mother’s correspondence until that year. Jeanne rarely saw her mother or her father; her father is known to have visited Alençon only twice during Jeanne’s childhood.Although Jeanne was raised in wealth and comfort, she lacked companions her own age and did not experience “family life” in any way.Her education was directed by the French poet and humanist Nicolas Bourbon.

Arthur, Prince of Wales (1486-1502)





Prince Arthur, the eldest son of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, married Catherine of Aragon at the age of 15. He died the following year, and Catherine later married Arthur's brother, Prince Henry, the future Henry VIII.

The portrait is mistakenly derived from a painting which is now known to show the children of King Christian of Denmark.


Arthur was the sickly eldest son of Henry VII and was betrothed to Catherine of Aragon at the age of 14, after a treaty of alliance with Spain had been signed the previous year in 1499. Catherine travelled to England with her dowry of 200,000 gold crowns and a large retinue arriving in Plymouth in October 1501. Henry VII journeyed part of the way with his son to meet her, and the Spanish were so horrified by Arthur's appearance that they insisted he be physically examined by their doctors. Nothing amiss was found, even though he was probably suffering from tuberculosis.

In any event, the wedding at St. Paul's Cathedral in November was greeted enthusiastically by the populace not to mention the fortnight of celebrations that followed. The newlyweds then left for Arthur's official residence at Ludlow Castle, where he fell seriously ill and died in her arms in early April the next year. A key question remains as to whether the marriage was consummated. This is not impossible for a consumptive, even in the advanced stages, and he claimed to his friends after their wedding night that he had 'been in Spain all night', however Catherine always insisted that it had not happened and that she was a virgin on her marriage to Henry VIII. Her father immediately arranged for her marriage to Henry when he heard the news of Arthur's demise.

It was on 1 May 1776 that Adam Weishaupt, a professor of law at the University of Ingolstadt, founded the Order of the Illuminati, a secret organisation formed to oppose religious influence on society and the abuse of power by the state by fostering a safe space for critique, debate and free speech. Inspired by the Freemasons and French Enlightenment philosophers, Weishaupt believed that society should no longer be dictated by religious virtues; instead he wanted to create a state of liberty and moral equality where knowledge was not restricted by religious prejudices. However religious and political conservatism ruled in Ingolstadt at that time, and subject matter taught at the Jesuit-controlled university where Weishaupt lectured was strictly monitored.


After initially handpicking his five most talented law students to join, the network rapidly expanded, its members disseminating Weishaupt’s goals of enlightenment with radical teachings, while at the same time creating an elaborate network of informants who reported on the behaviour of state and religious figures in an effort to build up a wealth of information that the Illuminati could potentially exploit in their teachings. With the help of prominent German diplomat Baron Adolf Franz Friedrich, Freiherr von Knigge – who helped recruit Freemason lodges to the Illuminati cause – the clandestine group grew to more than 2,000 members throughout Bavaria, France, Hungary, Italy and Poland, among other places.

João de Castro blessed his son and said good-bye forever….Four holy men were his only attendants at this time: they were the Vicar General Father Pedro Fernandes, Frei Antonio do Casal who had stoody by him on the battlefield, Frei João de Vila do Conde, another Franciscan, and—most intimate of them all—the missionary Padre Mestre Francisco Xavier.

Perfectly conscious, he conversed with these until the end…

So D. João de Castro died upon a stormy June 6th, far from the Sintra mountains where he once had dreamed to rest. They wrapped him in the habit of St. Francis over the mantle of the Order of Christ; wearing his golden spurs, with his sword at his side, his face uncovered to the driving rain, they bore him through the town to the Franciscan church, and laid him on the Gospel side of the High Altar….



The late Viceroy had left his will in Portugal with the Bishop of Angra. He made no other since because he had acquired no property in India. In his house there was found neither money nor jewels, and, as he said, his plate was mostly gone. In a coffer, the key of which he always kept, there was nothing except three coins, a well-used scourge, and the tuft of his beard pledged to the citizens of Goa.
