This is what you get when you allow a Criminal like Fayose to hijack a noble cause!

I urge the police to maintain peace and order on the day of the political protest!

We all know that Fayose is not the problem.
The government is just having running stomach and goosebumps over this protest.

Lol. Protest that was moved to Monday morning and u think the "organizer" is serious.
I said it that soldiers must be deployed like the occupy Naija protests. The protest is politically motivated by those that gave Tuface millions in the past.

Many will die avoidably from 2face partisan protest and he may end up in jail for instigating crisis. If the protest wasn't a PDP backed one people wouldn't mind but as long as it is partisan APC supporters will likely confront them leading to deaths and arson.

The whole world will be watching how PMB will handle the protest. CNN and other international media will beam their satellite on Nigeria that day to see what happens. Don't forget that the Shiites killings, Massob , SK are already receiving the attention of ICC so whoever kills unarmed protesters that day will be a murderer.

Dumb decision. Even if they dont apply, the buzz about it should be enough for you and instead of stopping a march/protest, why not just put men on standby and ensure that it is safe…

A very useless Police Force. Have you people been ready for anything ? Apart from may be, bribe ? Look at the nonsense statement that they are not ready for that kind of protest. Have you guys been ever ready in your lives ? I do not know why the Police have become partners with the Presidency. This can only happen in a country where the Fuckcing Federal Government control all police apparatus.

We need State Police and we need it now, so each State can begin to take their security in their hands. And that is one of the points of this PROTEST which MUST hold.

Nigeria Police bring out your arms against the citizens and watch how stones will be more lethal than guns. This is not about political parties or tribes or religion. We just want to talk, we just wanna discuss how we can better structure the country and survive as a people and learn to love each other based on agreed terms not excluding asking everyone who owns oil well in this country to account to the masses all that they have been making from those oil wells. Because it is supposed to belong to the masses.

Nigerians stop being silly, the oil belongs to everyone yet few politicians own oil wells and the remaining one is sold and money shared among themselves while we struggle on our own. Yet they still crumble the economy.

That is the statement I am making. Enough is fuccking Enough.

engineerboat:
The Lagos State Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni on Wednesday said he will not allow the planned protest against the Federal Government slated for February 5 to hold in the state.

Popular musician, TuFace Idibia who joined the call for protest by some concerned Nigerians over the state of the nation, had used his social media platforms to appeal to his supporters to join the movement.

But Owoseni, who had earlier stated that there was no official request from the protesters notifying security agencies of their plan, said Wednesday that intelligence report indicates that criminals might hijack the process.
This protest must hold. Police or no police.

According to the police chief, the command wasn’t ready for that kind of demonstration and as such would not allow it to hold

He said no matter how good an intention is, hoodlums would always find a way to harass, rob and attack innocent members of the public, who may wish to go about their Lawful duty.

Owoseni said: “Information reaching us revealed that some hoodlums are planning to hijack the peaceful protest. And as such, we won’t allow it to hold in Lagos. We know that Tuface do not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand.”

At a press conference held earlier in the week, Owoseni said: “The Civil Society had said that they do not need police permission to carry out any peaceful protest, but they should also be aware that there might be those who share an opposing view. This set of persons may want to disrupt the peaceful demonstration and would want to attack demonstrators.

“This is why we advise individuals or group of persons who may wish to embark on civil demonstration to inform the police so that adequate security arrangement would be provided.”

Pathetic country.

Jonathan was right : he was really the last president of Nigeria. What we have now is the governance of a conquered people.

I regret not voting for Jonathan. It would have made a difference.

From the beginning the EIE should have been more careful in disabusing the minds of the public that Igbos and PDP are not going to use the protest as an excuse for mayhem in revenge for 2015 humbling by APC. For example , which accused 2baba of being sponsored by Akpabio facing serious corruption cases, should have been sued, and its allegation well debunked to gain our trusts . EIE did great by the epic answer to the pretentious fraud in Ekiti who taught this is another opportunity at comic tragedy of hauling hot airs at Buhari to amuse a scammed and weary' surffering and smiling' Ekiti audience.

Who knows what information has the police given the pattern of sabotage and deliberate attempt at provoking a religious crisis recently? A Fayose, Wike or an FFK can sponsor Igbos to turn the protest to a theatre of war that can truncate this republic so that all the corruption cases against them and their imminent prison terms can be smoldered. who knows?

It's none of Buhari's business if APC and PDP supporters clash leading to deaths and arson. The duty of police will be to arrest the organizers and sponsors after the tragic event.

Good. That will even make Tuface and others get international recognition and sympathy. Same way taken by Mandela ,Awolowo and others to stardom. If I may ask you, how many arrests has been made by Trump over the protests across America against him ? It is your type of reasoning that seems to justify our eastern brothers saying that Nigeria is a zoo. Everybody saw how protests were handled in the normal world - America. No threats, no intimidations. The world is watching how it will be handled in the zoo.

Are we in a democracy or dictatorial regime? the
protest is long overdue and can not be stopped
by anybody. They should not forget that the very people
that voted buhari including myself are not happy
with his disastrous economic policies and his
silence on very important and burning issues. They should
stop being inconsiderate. are they happy with the
state of our nation? Should we rather keep quiet
and complain in our closet while dying silently.
buhari has made bad situation worse, we must criticize objectively,
we must not allow intimidation, religion and ethnicity to
destroy our values and sense of reasoning. in
defense of democracy I am fully in support of
2face idibia, God bless nigeria.
