Dumb decision. Even if they dont apply, the buzz about it should be enough for you and instead of stopping a march/protest, why not just put men on standby and ensure that it is safe…

People are just silly around here

I hope this doesn't degenerate into something really ugly at the end of the day. The tension is palpable, people are tired of this administration and want to register their displeasure. I'm afraid any attempt to sabotage the plan or thwart the process will not go down well Nigerians. The cops should instead be on standby to forestall any break down of law and order, anything contrary may spell doom.

Let d police gather enough info abt Boko haram, Fulani heardsmen first and act on it before diz protest. Diz pple are just unbelievable, so wen we occupied Naija 2012, there was no info gathering den. We are watching.

Babacele:
From the beginning the EIE should have been more careful in disabusing the minds of the public that Igbos and PDP are not going to use the protest as an excuse for mayhem in revenge for 2015 humbling by APC. For example , which accused 2baba of being sponsored by Akpabio facing serious corruption cases, should have been sued, and its allegation well debunked to gain our trusts . EIE did great by the epic answer to the pretentious fraud in Ekiti who taught this is another opportunity at comic tragedy of hauling hot airs at Buhari to amuse a scammed and weary' surffering and smiling' Ekiti audience.

Who knows what information has the police given the pattern of sabotage and deliberate attempt at provoking a religious crisis recently? A Fayose, Wike or an FFK can sponsor Igbos to turn the protest to a theatre of war that can truncate this republic so that all the corruption cases against them and their imminent prison terms can be smoldered. who knows?
I find it quite shameful that you had to drag IPOB into this. I mean, aren't they the people who have decided to stay out of this protest as this isn't what they're clamouring for. Like you haven't seen calls here and offline for those down east to stay out of the protest!

Some of you APC supporters can be so impossible!

Whatever to give a group a bad name! Continue!!!!

APC style. Make legal illegal and then arrest.

In other words if Tuface goes ahead with the protest, they will arrest and 'Nnamdi-Kaluize' him before an Okrika judge.

Don't worry. You think you are smart? Nigerians will show you why they fear them the world over.

APC, Shame!

This was their plan all along. To cancel the protest using one excuse or the other. Istandwithbuhari protesters will not have hoodlums and miscreants,it's the istandagainstbuhari that will have them.

Even if Buhari manages to get to 2019, people will protest with their voters cards and unless he rigs the elections and confirms he is the lawbreaking, corrupt tyrant we know he is, he will never smell the presidency again.

Bring back our Nigeria. Which Nigeria are they bringing back Is it the Nigeria of dictatorship or the fake propped up Nigeria? Now that Buhari is not propping up the naira, we are seeing the real Nigeria. We are all at fault including and especially the leadership.

We need to protest about many things in Nigeria. We need to protest about our universities; about our light/power issues; about our water supply and distributions; about our drainage system; about corruption on all levels; about tribalism and religious intolerance; about land reform; about civil servant pay and national work place treatments; about our roads, airports, and rails; about building codes to avert unnecessary fires in the markets - simple sprinkler systems can help that; etc

I have a problem with bring back our Nigeria as if it was great before. I reject former Nigeria as much as I reject current Nigeria. It should have been "improve our Nigeria". That is what happens when an illiterate leads a crowd. Enough mistakes with no thorough thoughts on issues. Soon e go promote hin album from this notice me attention. If he really mean am, God bless; but your message is still ignorant.

'They protested' for days some years back only to end up being used by corruption (opposition then) to bring worse ills and corruption in.

That first protest was a sham, sponsored by power-by-force people. This is the authentic.

We call it Febrevolution. The February Revolution.
