1. You can complete the PLF anytime within 48 hours of your arrival in the UK.
If you fly out at 9am WAT on Wednesday and arrive on Wednesday at 3pm GMT, you can fill it anytime from Monday 3pm GMT which is 4pm WAT. You can't fill it out earlier. But you must complete it before your flight on Wednesday.

2. The COVID tests will be sent to your home address in the UK but you don't need pre departure or arrival tests from tomorrow since you are fully vac'd.

3. If you want to do the test, that's on you but it is no longer required. Make sure you take your vaccine card and even scan the QR Code to get the digital copy and take that with you as well.

Akorkor:
You are all doing a good job. Thank you all.

Please, I read that the COVID 19 rule changes from 4 am on February 11. So here is my question,

How do I fill out the locator form, the time(48hrs before flying or 24 hrs), and would the PCR test be delivered to my stated house address in the UK?
Also, I am thinking of doing the Covid test even though I am fully vaccinated because I don't want stories that touch from some overwork Nigeria immigration office. Should the test be done 24hrs or 48hrs before flying?

So you think gov.uk would lie?
Either ways from 4am 11.02.2022 fully vaccinated travelers arriving the UK, do not need pre-departure test. But you must have your vaccination card with you and fill the PLF.
Enjoy your trip.

Or what does one say again? You see the information on their official website and still come to ask boya na lie. I have seen Giselle's frustrated comments many times before. I now understand. Ahah!! Something written so clearly, still come dey ask whether nah lie. Nah lie now. Or you take the time to send links to people and they don't even bother to check or the rejection email clearly says that you deposited an amount just before visa application and we still dey ask- Please, what went wrong? We are our own problem as Nigerians. I swear! Make we try dey fix up! One love!!!!

Good evening guys. I have applied for pta on tradesystem portal since Tuesday, I went to the bank the following day, I was told to hold on till I receive an approval mail before I’ll be able to do the exchange. As I’ll be traveling on Monday, and tomorrow Friday is the last working day before my travel date. I’ll be leaving my city for lagos on Saturday, please I want to ask, just as back up plan, which is adviceable, to exchange in the black market or exchange at the airport, which would be easier and besides which would have a preferable rate. Thank you guys

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by sandra50(f): 6:49pm On Feb 10, 2022
Good evening house..
Please can someone put me through on how to go about applying for a visiting visa?
I do importation business from the UK,I have someone that goes to the company to buy it for me and send for me but most times the person is always busy and it's been a challenge...

I have a limited company with a corporate account that I want to use and apply for visa..I also have a private account that I have been using even before I opened my corporate account...
I do pay 250,000 from my corporate account to my saving account every month while I leave large amount in my corporate account..sometimes there will be nothing left in both accounts when ever I order for goods that means I wouldn't have the 250,000 to pay into my private account....
Will that affect my statement of account when I want to print it?I was also thinking I should pay 500,000 into my private account for the 2 months that I missed?

Again when I will be printing my statement of account I will have large amount in my private account and then not so large amount in my private account because by then I would have gathered all the money that I have and deposit it into my account...my story will be that I'm going to buy goods with the money.

I have some chats that I had with the person that buys goods for me last years where he asked me to start coming to the UK myself to buy the goods since he is always busy..I intend to print and present it to them..I also have some pictures of my goods that I also intend to print and present...I have a landed property that I also want to present..

My story is that I'm going on a business trip and I will be glad if someone can put me through the documents I need to present to them..thanks.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:00pm On Feb 10, 2022
@sandra50 pls dnt try all these things you are about to do. Lump sum payment, then previous lump sum payment… just as u are doing it just also be preparing your mind for refusal because these bank statement lumpsums cnt escape it. There is absolutely no rush. If you need to wait for 1 year to have a ‘safe’ account, then wait.
Secondly just labelling it business trip will not suffice, have you made same business trip to other locations before and what does ur business stand to gain from it being the UK?
The above two should be solved first before rushing into anything. goodluck

Thanks for your response..

What do you suggest I do?I have been paying 250,000 every month from my business account to my private account but I skipped December and January?should I continue with the payment after skipping December and January until it gets to 6 months or should I start a fresh one from this February?

Please how do I build my business and private account to make it worthy..the 2months that i didn't pay into my private account is it a problem?

I've been a quiet reader on this page.
Very useful information everywhere.

But I need to add this.
If you need ur visa urgently don't ever in your life opt in for couriers delivery.
If you have to travel 12hrs back to visa centre to pick up your passport please do it.

TLS (unprofessionally) doesn't handle the delivery themselves. They hand it over to DHL which is notorious for delays. DHL doesn't prioritise TLS packages, they put it with the bunch of items to be delivered all across the country. Your passport and visa is sitting in a sac beside orders from China and intimacy gadgets all on a motorbike. Your future!

Then they take 1 week to deliver just within Lagos. If it's east or north just forget it. No matter how many calls and emails you are doomed
I leaned my lesson the hard way.
I would rather Die than allow TLS to use courier for me.

i disagree. I have used dhl services for over 15 applications. Delivery to ph, asaba, calabar etc Maximum it has taken has been 2 wrokin days. Ph own is the next day sef. What im sayin is 1 week haba. No no no . If one does not reside in abuja or lagos it makes no sense to pay transport back when 8k courier can solve the problm. No no no. The courier has saved me so many times. The only time i didnt use it, they refused to give to third party. It was a waste payin flight tickets back again. What i am sayin in 95 percent of cases it works. Esp tls abuja from the tym they send off collection mail. Ph gets theirs the next day etc. sorry about your experience.

Firstly, you need to understand that you will not be present to explain all the excuses to the VO and decision will only be made from the proofs and documents available to the VO to decide on.

If the 250k payment has been on for a long period (a year and above) then it might be no problem as you need to prove that and also show all documents of the business and then show those payments as your salary from the business.

For any month that was skipped, you need to give a detailed explanation on the reason it was skipped and how you intend to fix it.

Finally, if it appears complicated to you, then it will most def be more complicated to the VO and that is an easy route for refusal. If it is a business trip, then you should be able to show all documentation regarding that, previous trips made, your contacts in the UK and proof of them doing business, they should also be able to give you a cover letter for the business and finally your registration and operation as a business in Nigeria should be proved.

Once your home work is done properly, nothing can refuse your application.

Thank you so much..I have some receipt I used in purchasing the goods..the receipt from the shipping company..the chats I had with a friend that helped buy it and how he said he wouldn't be able to continue because he has other things doing.. picture of some of my goods.

Do I need to write a letter to them to address anything that might confuse them and submit when I'm submitting other documents?

Your statement doesn't invalidate my experience. And keep your apology I don't need it.
Direct it at several clients who had a similar terrible experience like mine.
The information was my experience.
Who are you to be saying haba as if I'm lying.
There are several example all over the internet.

Of course they stilll get the work done. But you have to weigh the Risk and not sit back and relax because you are the CEO
They can do anybody's father dirty and there ain't nothing you'll do about it

Sorry about this. I think black market might be better. Next time, please apply two weeks before your travel date as it sometimes takes a little longer. In the interim, raise a red flag to your bank via email and reach out to your RM for support.
