The useless and baseless petitions will be dismissed with heavy fines imposed on Atiku and Obi for bringing such a frivolous case before the court.

What is useless and baseless in the petitions?

Pre election matters

What of invalid nomination? Shetiima was nominated after 21 days instead of 14 days and this is clearly a constitutional matter. This case was brought up by APM and different from the double nomination case.

It is a preelection matter

Election Tribunal judgement has been slated to take place on 6th of September. What are you expecting from this election petition judgement?

Do you think there will be a rerun or petitions by election losers will be quashed?
No surprises! NO SURPRISES!!

Technicalities may be used for the judgement.

Supreme Court will have the final say
Re: Presidential Election Tribunal Judgement: What Is Your Prediction? by Mohamid(m): 2:58pm On Sep 04, 2023

We already know how it will end.

1. On the case of certificates and forms submitted to INEC. Shetiima double nominations will be judged as pre-election matters.

2. On the case of electronic transmission of results, INEC has the right to decide how elections are conducted and transmitted.

3. On rigging allegation, not enough evidence to prove it happened.

4. On forfeiture of $460k, it was a civil forfeiture and not criminal.

5. On the case of 25%, Abuja is treated as a 37th state and Tinubu got 25% in far more than two third of 37 states hence he is duly qualified.

This outcome is 90% guaranteed.

Atiku should focus on uncovering the undeniable truth that he is an imposter who used the details of a female to gain admission to Richard Darley college and subsequently the crooked Chicago State University

Agreed nice one

Interesting thread. It’s appears most people are just giving their opinions based on their own personal expectations and not necessarily what transpired at the Tribunal.

If I may ask those who think it should be a re-run to please give a simple analysis of how the tribunal should/would arrive at this decision.

For those who think Obi would be declared the winner, kindly give us your own simple analysis also, how that decision would be arrived at, bear in mind that Obi’s petition is against Tinubu and not Atiku. I am asking this because this is the most illogical of all the expected outcome. For the reason that it is

1. either Obi is asking the whole election be nullified and a complete rerun be ordered between all candidates (after disqualifying Tinubu maybe), A rerun would have to be with all other candidates present, because the election that returned people as 1st, 2nd or 3rd would have been completely nullified,

2.or Obi is saying even with this election as it is, he should be declared the winner because he got more lawful votes that both all other candidates including TInubu and ATIKU. Of which I have failed to see at anytime during the PEPT proceedings where Lawyers for Obi have either propound this argument or even attempted to prove it

Didn’t President Bola Tinubu nominate a place holder for The VP position to beat the deadline, then further replaced by him with Shettima?

Tinubu is your Master.

To me, they all have no case against Tinubu.....

No one was able to prove amongst them that they have a higher number of votes than Tinubu

Their main arguement is on technicalities and legal interpretation i.e the Abuja 25% issue

The primary objective of both Obi and Atiku is to disqualify the candidature of Tinubu base on academic discrepancies and his supposed crime of forfeiture.

Putting all these together, I think both Obi and Atiku's case will be thrown out

Exactly,

What is new? Peter Gringory Obi ran away from pdp then manipulated his way to the Labor party’s presidential candidate in 5 days, Atiku manipulated his way to becoming the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party with enormous maneuvering.

Like the days prior to the Feb 25th election, I totally have no clue what to expect from September 6th.

- Would the Judiciary damn the succeeding legal consequences and perform some legal abracadabra? Or

- Should Akpabio start warming up to be an Ag. President? Or

- Would a foundation shaking judgment be passed which would send ecstatic ripples all around Africa?

Not sure I know or can predict what to expect. But if I must place a bet, I'd say they'd call for a run-off in which Tinubu would likely win again by using brutal rigging. With this, the Judiciary would save face but the powers that be would still get their way.

Whatever the case, the Judiciary shouldn't pass a judgment that would turn the country to a banana republic.

And what's the judgement that would turn the country to a Banana Republic?

I doubt that . If it was frivolous , they wouldn’t wait this long to pass judgement .

However I think Tinubu will carry the day and INEC made a scape goat . Because the judiciary is as corrupt as all the other arms of government .

Question is if Tinubu’s election is voided , what happens ? Who will take over pending re-run elections ? Is there a provision in the constitution for such a scenario ? Legal luminaries should explain

Doing Nothing! i.e. if the Tribunal ignores all the clear points raised and just outrightly dismisses the case, that would set a dangerous precedent.

Without delving too deep, the 25% in Abuja is a clear basis to call for a run-off, the constitution was very clear on that. If the Tribunal ignores that, then it would be setting a very dangerous precedent which would rubbish the integrity of the Judiciary and the constitution.

David Cameron former Prime Minister said to the Late Queen of England, Nigeria country of the fantastically corrupt, no need imagining the impossible, the election can never be voided.

Tinubu has gone for G20 meetings in India with the Masters of industry in Nigeria on his entourage, those stooges are just wasting their time in court.

If the election is voided, Akpabio becomes Ag. President pending the conduct of a run-off or fresh election.

There's nothing there to predict, Obi won the election convincingly, but the Nigerian factor will take place with its so-called technicalities.

Tinubu is headed out to the G20 Summit in India tonight, with the masters of industry in Nigeria from Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola to Anthony Elumelu just to mention a few, they have already heard the judgement.

Peter Obi can never win presidential election in Nigeria, the North will never vote for him, as proven in the just concluded election.

The Judas was only used to dilute his master’s votes Abubakar Atiku, by contesting against him, leaving easy way for Tinubu to win the presidential election.

Obi is a curse to Pdp & Atiku, a blessing to APC & Bola Tinubu.
Re: Presidential Election Tribunal Judgement: What Is Your Prediction? by Baatunde(m): 4:08pm On Sep 04, 2023
It is definitely not frivolous, especially considering all the technicalities that have been thrown up, I suspect however that judgement has been delayed this long deliberately to make it look serious. In any case , Peter Obi having once been a beneficiary of the judiciary has strongly maintained from the beginning that he has confidence in the judiciary, why the panic now?
