Thanks for your reply. However, GSB is the only African Business School in Financial Times Ranking for 5 years in a role. Anyways I want to increase my chances as a business leader. Business School are suppose to provide for Internship but I don't know about GSB. Collins guy you suppose know set man need better job. What do you mean about if I am afraid of going to Cape Town? My major motive is to attend a recognise business school that will not tear my pocket, meet people and network. Likewise, increase my opportunities for better jobs (honest truth)

Compare their tuition and go for the one you can afford. Besides Cape Town of today is not as bad as it was before.

How does one get Proof of medical or insurance cover registered and recognised by South African Govt while here in Nigeria? Which Insurance company here in Nigeria offers such insurance. Also how does one secure the repatriation fee? I just secured admission for a PhD program at UCT.

Home Affairs does not accept insurance cover issued by Nigeria Insurance Companies, it must be from a registered and recognised insurance company in SA. Though there are many registered and recognised insurance company in SA but you can contact momentum, they are based in Pretoria and I got one from them sometimes ago https://www.momentum.co.za/for/you/products/health As for repatriation, that one can be settle in Naija at VSF Lagos Application Centre, it's cheaper in naija compare to SA.

You will also need to add medical x-ray report

1.how much shud i go wit to the embassy for fees
There is no specific amount required but make sure you have a statement of account that covers your tuition and adequate fund for living expenses.

2.when would they request for repatriation money
It's advisable that you pay repatriation and include the receipt, if you fail to include repatriation receipt, the process maybe delay because you will be asked to pay before your permit can be processed.

3.wen do i buy air ticket
Include ordinary flight schedule with your application but buy your air ticket when your permit is ready
4.is it that we just submit the application and leave? Would I be asked to come bak for interview?

No interview
5.how long does it take to proces d study permit and how do they return the passport.
Officially it takes six weeks but I have seen a 2week processed study permit here in SA but I don't know how fast naija processing time may be.

Thanks so much as u take ur time 2answer all.

The repatriation fee can be paid at the application centre where you are to submit your application. As for the application fee, I don't know how much in naija but is R425 in SA (approx 8,500) but am sure it can't be more than the 18k charged for tourist visa in naija.

Contact your school for the relevant fee and the first thing to do is evaluation of your result with SAQA, without it no admission and no permit.

Thanks

i travelled to ghana recently for a buisness trip, as i got to kokota international airpot, i was asked to provide a yellow vaccination card, which i thought was not needed , i later had to pay 20ghana cedis( 2 thansand naira) at the airport to get the card, though it looks better than nigerians yellow card, my problem now is , i want to apply for south africa visa, someone should please advice me if i can go ahead and use the yellow card that was issued to me at ghana airport , i dont want to be denied for that reason. thanks.

I am sure you don't know how to use the link, for your information NHCltd has different centres in South Africa, some in Jo'burg and another in Gauteng here in Pretoria (eg Netcare) , I wonder why it has to take you to Australia. You can do research your own.

If it's recent with international health regulations of 2005(or any recent date), it must also contain batch no of drugs administered with appropriate and recognise issuer stamp and approved stamp of vaccination centre of the federal republic of Nigeria. One of these days, I will upload a scanned copy of the accepted yellow card by SA Embassy.

surdik: @collinsfbi... Is it true south African embassy here in nigeria do call applicant? If true what are the likely questions ?
It's true, but they do not call to conduct interview with anybody on phone, they normally call applicants if there is need to provide additional information/documents in support of their application or to pay repatriation fee with specific deadline.

Collinsfbi thank you so much for your great responses on this thread. I have a question with regards to Medical Insurance cover for Study Permit. Should the cover you pay for cover the entire length of your studies or you can do a minimum of 6 months? What is the acceptable cover length that the embassy requires.

I submitted my application for study permit to south african embassy for the past one month two weeks and they still tell me is still being processed. I dont know if anything could br worng. I got the medical insurance from their country, paid the repatriation fee as well.I am meant to travel by december. I have been to south africa before and I did not break any immigration rule so I returned to nigeria when I was due to return. I am worried over the time this have taken. My whole documents are authentic and I even paid 10percent of the tuition fee. I dont know if I have done anything wrong here?

Ingwe medical insurance company is closed. You can use comp care or momentum insurance. I passed through this experience last month. You can call me. I promise to help you on that issue of insurance. You are not paying any thime to me. The repartration fee is 110k then the visa fee is 8000. Then the bank charges follow. Make sure you have 130k before you go to pay for those ones. It is going to help you.you will have small change at the end of the day
