I didn't doubt her the first time I watched that particular video. I followed up on part two of it and I was pleased to see that she built a lovely house in The Gambia with a swimming pool sef.

That is the same video I sent to my friend who was feeling blue because everyone she knows has japaed. I told her to the watch the video and read the comjments below it as well, to help herself make an informed decision on whether to japa or not.

I would not advise advanced-age folks with huge investments to japa. However, they should plan for their kids' education and citizenship. Having African country citizenship can be quite restrictive when it comes to assessing economic opportunities in the global economy. i do understand that some schools in the UK cost money but moving to London doesnt cost as much.... a simple cheaper course can get them to the UK, and then they can decide whether to have a "better" course or not. i would rather have said:" going to a fancy school in the UK cost a lot of money"

My friend who relocated to Sunderland 6 months ago analysed to me that Japa to UK is still better than Nigeria. That He saves 500 pounds monthly after bills ( which is about 500k naira) compared to me doing white collar job and earning 300k naira salary in Nigeria. Unless he intends to return to Nigeria in the nearest future, it is not advisable to convert your abroad earnings to naira. it makes no economic sense because you are not spending naira in the abroad. I actually have no problem with taxes . It's just that that volume of taxation would not be necessary if they are not starting wars all over the globe.
